Ratings: American Idol down 9% from last week, ties series low

American Idol had a 3.9 adult rating down 9% and tied a series low for a results show. This was enough to be the #1 show of the night.
The Big Bang Theory was a repeat last night.

FOX topped the night’s adults 18-49 rating, even as American Idol’s 3.9 adults 18-49 rating matched its series low for a results show, down 9% vs. last week’s 4.3 rating. At 9pm, Touch kept falling, down 9% to a series/season low 2.1 adults 18-49 rating, vs. last week’s 2.3 rating.
CBS’s was all repeats save for a new Rules of Engagement episode that (without a new BBT lead in) matched its series low 2.2 adults 18-49 rating, down 19% with last week’s 2.7 rating.
Grey’s Anatomy was up 10% to a 3.2 adults 18-49 rating vs. last week’s 2.9 adults 18-49 rating and Scandal was up a tenth to a 2.1 adults 18-49 rating, from last week’s a 2.0 adults 18-49 rating.
The CW returned from repeats this week, The Vampire Diaries earned a series low 1.0 adults 18-49 rating vs. a 1.2 rating in its last original episode three weeks ago, and The Secret Circle was also at a new season/series low 0.5 adults 18-49 rating from a 0.6 rating in its last original episode, also three weeks ago.
