Ratings: American Idol down 13% from last week, one of it’s lowest rated shows ever
Update: American Idol adjusted up to 4.2
American Idol had a 4.0 adult rating last night down 13% from last week, and was one of it’s lowest rated shows ever since Season 1 and it’s lowest rated show of the year.
Idol is now flirting with a 3-rating, and I predict we will see this happen next Thursday. I’m not even thinking of The Voice or Dancing with the Stars right now. Can Idol really sink this low so fast in one season?
The rest of the numbers:
#AmericanIdol was the No. 1 program of the night among Adults 18-49 (4.0/13), Adults 18-34 (2.7/10) and Total Viewers (15.0 million)
Fox won the night with adults 18-49 and total viewers, but American Idol was down 13% to a 4.0 adults 18-49 rating. Touch’s official premiere did OK post-Idol, but it was down seven tenths (18%) from its special preview in January that drew a 3.9 adults 18-49 rating. Especially given that there were no dramas on CBS last night at 9pm, it will be interesting to see what happens next Thursday.
NBC’s Community dropped half a point with adults 18-49 with a 1.7 adults 18-49 rating.
