i just cant with her. shes a decent enough singer, but theres just something about her personality that doesnt gel with me. shes too precocious for my taste, and her performances always come off as an act to me. like shes playing a part. no emotional connection.

my issue isnt with her personality (though that whole i want my own bathroom shtick is grating to me personally), but i just dont think she has the emotional depth to pull off certain songs. when she sings, it comes off as acting to me. facial expressions, body movements, all because the song calls for it, its not coming from her organically. i just dont think she actually feels the song and the words imo.

I agree...I can't stand this girl. Her and Astro can both go home for all I care. This show is turning into a cheap copy of Idol....so much potential and so little talent here.

No emotional connection? Are you kidding me! We must not be watching the same girl and same performance. The emotion is in her voice, on her face, and in her gestures! Wake up and smell the coffee! LOL I love her happy and positive energy and I find it refreshing and very genuine. She should land in the top three and she could very well win this. Try not to have a heart attack Lee, when it happens. LOL

Josh needs to clean himself up a little and find his niche. not only is Rachel better all-around (DON'T get me wrong...Josh CAN sing), she has a more current sound....she is more charismatic and marketable than Josh.

That is exactly what I was thinking. Such mature sounds. She is very, very good...beautiful deep tones and such control over her vocals for such a young girl. I think the prodigy label might be applied here. Rickey is right...her best performance yet!
