President Obama is TIME Person of the Year 2012
President Barack Obama is TIME Person of the Year 2012. This is his second time to be honored by the magazine.
President Barack Obama is TIME magazine’s iconic Person of the Year, managing editor Rick Stengel revealed Wednesday as he unveiled the 2012 cover on TODAY.
“He’s basically the beneficiary and the author of a kind of a New America, a new demographic, a new cultural America that he is now the symbol of,” Stengel said.
Got Something to Add?
Writer Stengel is demented. O is author of a New America??
The choice is meaningless anyway. Winners of presidential elections are generally that years Person of the Year. W was selected in 2000 and 2004. Just sayin'.
On the radio I heard it was because he was the first Democrat to be re-elected President in decades. My first thought was "Clinton was a Republican?"
@jbeee maybe it means reelected with majority. Meaning=more than 50% of the votes.
