yeah he changes the songs, just to make them all sound the same... thats not original, thats one dimensional.

I sort of recognize the melody and do recognize the words.  It was okay, but with the level of other performances I am not sure how Phillip sits.  He IS unique, but we have had unique Idols before (Taylor Hicks anyone?) and they are the ones doing lounges in Vegas.

Can anybody relate to this song?  Who writes letters these days?  LOL!  And this was a bad performance.  My standard is Carly S. and Michael Johns.

Hmmm... Let's see: To simply put it: Johns & Carly > Lee > P2. This was just too slowed down for my tastes.

 

And seriously @rickey ? J'enough with your shameless pimping of this guy! You KNOW he'll never be in danger, anyway, so quit it!

 @jpad319 I was about to say the same thing - Michael Johns and Carly Smithson slayed this song and this was mediocre by comparison. EVERYTHING he does is too slowed down! The guy couldn't sing an uptempo melody to save his life. He constantly has to drag out every line and suck all the melody out of the song. I couldn't even listen to this whole performance because he ruined the song.

 @Noelle lol yeah, BIG mistake! All those hormonal young girls aren't going to power vote for him this time. Maybe the cougars still will though. Bad timing for this, because this was Phillip's weakest night yet.
