I lovee, loveee, lovee him! So unique!!! Love his version of rocket man, gives me shivers!! Really hopes he wins, and if not I'm pretty sure he will still be quite famous in the music business.
Paul definitely has they type of voice you either love or hate. I love him. He's unique. Most of the others, while talented, are boring. Been there, heard that. So far, I've not heard one song from him that he didn't make completely his own while preserving the integrity of the song. Some here trying to make songs their own distort it so much you can't even catch a glimpse of the original song. Kudos, Paul!!
Yes! while i like him and him being in the competition (because, duh! he excites me every week and he's the only reason why i watch the show!), i don't want him to win. i want him to be the runner-up. haha! silly! of course, i want to see him 'til the end of the show. i just want him to be in his band back after this whole singing-cover-tunes-with-a-theme-every-week thing.
Again, my favorite singer. I agree with Kid Nation... he really should be recording already. He's the most polished out of everybody on the show.
Please America! Send this billygoat back to the pasture where he belongs!
I see State Fairs and cruise ships in his future!
He had a few nice phrasings in there, but the last whispered one was pandering a bit too much to Randy's comment last week. Pretty weak, imo.,
He shouldn't be in this competition. He's very alternative, he should be recording an album already.
Unfortunately, Paul's still sick. There was no way he could hit the notes he wanted to tonight given how congested he is ... and word is his asthma is flaring up. No excuses, because singers must go on, just like he did tonight, but still ... he's not at his best, which is so hard.
First of all, I'm not a hater but he copies Rod Stewart way, way too much: from his voice to his body movements. I understand that we all have our idols and a few of us dress, sing, eat, act.... our idols but this is not Elvis Presley impersonator contest!
Is he singing at all? It´s just so secretive.
He doesn´t have a voice at all. He is coasting by his looks and I think he will be in the top 3 because all of the ladies want him
Seriously do people really think he's a good singer? Just because you can play guitar doesn't mean you sing well. He's just whispering the song!!! C'mon Paul we all know you can open your mouth! (Especially like he did with Jacob Lusk last night)
I completely agree with the commenter above! I thought Paul was completely connected to that song tonight, maybe more-so than a lot of other times. This was one of his best performances and I thought he really felt it tonight. I have no idea what the judges were talking about. They barely gave him any actual critiques just sort of put down his performance. And Steven Tyler saying "I like it better when you hit some notes and not others." Uh, like most of the contestants on this show? Paul did a great job, slowed it down and really, I felt he meant every word in that song. I had chills. These judges are morons.
I love him behind the guitar, he seems so much more sincere and real. The spastic dancing was fabulous and hilarious, but sometimes it didn't quite match the mood of the song. The last two weeks have been a big improvement as far as connection to the song. To quote Randy, that guitar is a ladykiller.
On a sidenote, I had no idea what the judges were talking about tonight. Not saying I disagree, like... seriously, I could not comprehend what they were trying to say. The most coherent comment was Steven's joke about the suit.
Quiet comfort...so quiet he whispers his last word...I didn't know if it was his "encore" song or he was trying to put me to sleep.
