The freshman comedy Partners, starring David Krumholtz and Sophia Bush, has been pulled from the air by CBS, effective immediately (Two and a Half Men will air a rerun in its timeslot this Monday). The comedy pulled better numbers than most of the comedies to debut this season, falling short of only NBC’s Go On. However, the ratings for the half-hour sitcom weren’t up to network standards, necessitating its removal from the schedule. No word as of yet whether CBS will continue with reruns until midseason, although veteran sitcom Rules of Engagement could easily be plugged into the gap, if necessary. However, the network will likely just hold off until their midseason replacement comedy, Friend Me, can fill the empty timeslot.
