“We want to see him [Sanjaya] win because it’ll kind of prove that ‘American Idol’ is kind of losing its taste,” says Bennett, “it kinda isn’t going for talent anymore and more for popularity.”

Ouch. Paris! I was so doing the promo-blitz for your new album honey. Not cool to diss the show that put you on the map. Not cool to diss a fellow contestant from the show that put you on the map. One year later, still getting wrong advice from your handlers.

And yeah right, as if the stylists didn’t screw around with your hair week in and week out when you were on the show Paris. You had fun then didn’t you? Please…

DJJayito, I agree with you. I myself am dissapointed in her music, and doubt I will buy the CD. It sounds like something you would hear on Disney Radio, or in my little sister's stereo. Though, I still love Paris; she really needs to do something with herself to put herself on the music map.

What's a joke about this thread is Paris' new music. I loved her on the show. She was one of my favorites from Season 5. She has amazing talent. HOWEVER! Her new songs are flatout TERRIBLE! I haven't heard such horrible production work in a long time, IF EVER! Why would she sign with her uncle's BOOTLEG record label? It's a shame. Such a waste of talent.

i don't get it , ppl are saying respect parris's opinon she has the right not to like sanjaya but thats kind of hyporcritcal, if she can have the opinon of thinking american idol is a joke and so is sanjaya then i can have the opinon that parris is the joke , this opinon thing does work both ways.

there is no way that could be Paris. she took AI way to seriously to go about talking about it like that. and, all the Paris fans (including myself) know there is no way that could be her. it goes against her personaloty to say something like that, and I hardly believe this could be her! but, even if it were her, its her opinion, and should be respected. if she doesn't like sanjaya, she's not alone in her feelings, but it could have been put nicer.

There were times where it did sound like her and times where it didn't. I talked to Paris on the phone before on the Idol Radio Show and she was a lot more professional on there. For now I'm going to say this wasn't entirely genuine. For all we know they could have sliced and diced some audio of hers. Don't start treating Paris like trash just because of this. She's still a good singer. Also, even if it is real, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and if Paris's opinion is that, so be it. She's still just one person. Sanjaya's not going to win.

i dont know why so many people are blinded by sanjaya. im just thankful im not one of them! :)

ps: im not one of those "obsessed sanjaya-haters", ok. i just think he's not good enough to be the next AI, or to still be in it in this stage of the competition.

uhh how can u compare william hung who can't even sing at all to some one who is accually probally one of the beter singers of this season, ppl have there heads so far up melidas rear that they probally can't even hear sanjaya sing at all. in fact when the songs went longer , some of the singers were exposed for not being able to carry a song for 3 mins live on stage , and sanjaya was accually able to do it and sound pretty good. im not gonna say hes beter then chris daughryor carrie underwood or kelly clarkson , but hes still has his own style and doesn't sound as bad as ppl say he does. i mean i wasn't a big fan of sanjaya but its just dumb to come online to bash someone you don't even know because your cheering for some one you don't even know. it seems some ppl care more about ppl they don't even kno lives over there own life or even ppls they kno. as for parris if it wasn't for idol she wouldn't be where she is now , making a cd hardly any one even cares about. its kind of hard to belive shes saying this though after she has Kevin covaivis (sp) on her cd. it will be funny when sanjaya comes out with a cd and out sells parris's.

Paris was my fave also, and let me guess: she's a little bitter that the Black contestants didn't get recording contracts and the white contestants did....could that be it? Because if AI was a joke this year it was a joke last year and the year before. What makes last year all that "serious". It's a variety show, that's all. It gave her and the others an "entre'" to the music biz...and by her aunt being Ann Nesby, who is VERY famous in the music business, you would think that alone would have gotten Paris further than she is.

If she truly said this, then she is in serious need of some better advising - if it hadn't been for Idol, we would have never heard of her and she wouldn't have a CD to peddle... it comes across - to me - as resentment because she didn't win...

I remember her during her audition...she was so well-mannered, "thank you" and addressing Paula as "ma'am." It's hard to believe such a well-mannered girl would lack the common sense not to say in public what she said about Sanjaya and AI in general.

As for this thread, only one person said, "it sounds unprofessional to criticize a colleague". A couple of people doubt she said it, a couple of people think she should be more grateful to the show, I think she should know the difference between India and the Middle East and a couple of people agree with you. This hardly merits a freakout.

So...she is not allowed to speak the truth? I'm sorry, I really love(d) this show, but this season has been a real disappointment. I stopped watching a while ago -- almost as soon as the top 12 were picked. Poor non-singing Sanjaya (as adorable as he is) isn't even the big problem.

ordinary people/viewers can say what she has said and get away with it, but being a former contestant of the show, she should at least be thankful about the exposure and not try to look like a jerk.

That's definitely Paris. I wonder who the rest of the Idols are who are voting for Sanjaya??? I don't get it, she thinks Idol is losing its taste? Does she not think Taylor should have won last year?

If it is really her then I'm really disappointed. She was my absolute favorite as soon as I saw her in the auditions and still was my favorite throughout the competition (along with Elliott of course).
