‘Nosferatu’ Director F.W. Murnau’s Head Stolen By Grave Robbers – Report

Director F.W. Murnau’s head was reportedly stolen by grave robbers eighty-four years after the man who made the silent vampire film Nosferatu was laid to rest in Stahnsdorf, Germany.

According to Variety, there may be an occult connection to the bizarre posthumous beheading because wax was found near the grave.

In order to steal the disturbing trophy, the grave robbers had to break into Murnau’s family plot, open the metal coffin and then remove the head from the embalmed director’s body.

The other two graves were undisturbed.

As this was not an isolated incident, cemetary managers are considering sealing the grave from future satanists. Or whoever has been messing with deceased 1930’s directors.

We feel like we shouldn’t have to say this, but can whoever stole F.W. Murnau’s head please return it? That would be great.
