Nick Jonas – A Heart Full of Love and A Little Fall of Rain – Les Miserables 25th Anniversary Concert

Nick Jonas A Heart Full of Love Nick Jonas A Heart Full of Love and A Little Fall of Rain Les Miserables 25th Anniversary Concert

OMG OMG OMG! Nick Jonas singing “A Heart Full of Love” and “A Little Fall of Rain” from the Les Miserables 25th Anniversary Concert! This is amazing! I’m crying.

For the Les Miz purists out there, Nick Jonas is a triumph in casting. You cast young people to play young roles like Marius. This is why it would have been stupid to cast Lea Salonga as Eponine, even if she was awesome in that role years ago. Nick is great as Marius — I want to see someone young play this role over some older “seasoned” guy pretending he was 18 years old.

I have to agree with everyone on this comment thread. Nick Jonas was the weakest link in this concert. His voice is very thin and has no power, lacks the depth and range, and he looked very uncomfortable trying to make sure he stays on key and in tune with everyone else that there was no emotion to his portrayal. Granted that this was a concert, but next to everyone else, he just paled in comparison. He is not fit to be Marius. He should go back to teen pop tunes.

Nick Jonas CANNOT act! Minimal eye contact, very robotic! I didn't feel Marius' love for Cosette and his adoration for Eponine. So, what if he can sing? This is an epic broadway show and he failed to deliver! Epic FAIL Nick Jonas! Your place belongs to a high school auditorium. This is tragic for better actors who were bypassed just because they didn't belong to a forgotten bubblegum boyband!

I do not think the purists wanted her to get cast as Eponine 15 years after her unforgettable stint on the 10th. Indeed that would've been stupid. BTW, you should see her sing "I dreamed a dream" on the 25th. Just amazing!

Have you watched the entire show, Rickey? Katie Hall and Samantha Barks are both young and of the perfect age to play the roles of Cosette and Eponine, respectively, but both definitely have the proper vocal chops to pull off performances worthy of immortalizing on Blu-Ray. Nick just doesn't! Yes he sings excellent pop songs, but his take on Marius's songs are just meh! Way too amateurish! An insult to other West End/Broadways artists who've played the role of Marius before if I may say.

Nick Jonas was great. I appreciate his pop-style of singing. He is the second top billing on the show, just after Alfie Boe (who was excellent by the way -- I'm now a fan). I've also become a fan of Ramin Karimloo who played Enjolras.

When Michael Ball (who was the original Marius and played Marius in the 10th anniversary concert) sang in the encore, it just felt so dated. Although, I really love the original Eponine -- she's the best Eponine ever.
