Ne-Yo confirms talks for The X Factor USA judging slot

The rumor mill has been spinning for a while that Ne-Yo would be an ideal candidate to replace L.A. Reid on The X Factor. Music exec, songwriter, and artist all in one. What could be better than that?

The singer now says that he is in talks to be on the panel:

Ne-Yo exclusively told That Grape Juice 

‘There’ve been a few conversations, but nothing is set in stone. There’s been a few lunches and dinners (laughs) but that’s all I can say right now.”

Is Ne-Yo a good fit? We lost Britney vs. Christina so would this set up Usher vs. Ne-Yo? Hmmm…
