NAACP Image Awards 2016: Complete Winners List

The winners are in for the NAACP Image Awards 2016, honoring the best in black entertainment in the past year. Naturally, the winners basically serve as proof that the Oscars really could have (and probably should have) nominated more ethnically diverse artists, considering the vast amount of great films and performances represented in this lineup.

Among the winners are Taraji P. Henson, who won Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series for her work on Empire; Don Cheadle, who won Outstanding Directing in a Comedy Series for House of Lies; Ryan Coogler, who won Outstanding Directing in a Motion Picture for Creed; and Steve Harvey, who earned honors for Outstanding Host in a New, Talk, Reality, or Variety Program for his work on Family Feud. It’s an awesome collection of talent that shows what a strong year 2015 was in black entertainment. Check out the complete list of winners below:
