Michael Lynche – When a Man Loves a Woman – Video MP3 American Idol Top 11
Michael Lynche sings When a Man Loves a Woman on the American Idol Top 11
Rickey: This was good! Bringing out the fals again.
Randy Jackson: You know who you are. I loved it.
Ellen DeGeneres: I did feel like it was a safe choice. This woman loves that (Big Mike) man.
Kara DioGuardi: Technically it was good, but it was over-indulgent.
Simon Cowell: It was almost too much.

Got Something to Add?
That was a realy good rendition of this song. Mike has a quality voice. I really don't like it when singers add all the crazy runs but I thought Mike did just enough with it to spice it up a bit without losing the feel of the song. He performs well too. I think his vocals might be the best of the bunch except for maybe Crystal.
he is good... but he should lose some of his cockiness.... I agree with the comment above, i guess he will leave the show sooner than everyone is expecting...
we've heard better rnb singers in the show before...
Big Mike is the best pure singer in the bunch. His song choices have been excellent and varied unlike Crystal who seems to playing close to the Joplin/Etheridge line. Tonight though not his best performance was still good and the mark of a really good singer is consistency! He's going to make it no matter where he places in the competition.
I think the judges are sick. There will never be another true R&B type singer to win the contest. The judges just aren't that objective. We are really seeing the impact of letting Paul Abdul go. Randy represnets the rock type judge, Ellen is just a pure fan, Kara is that Celine Dion-Pop type judge and Simon is...Simon. There were far better singers that fell into that R&B category during Hollywood week! The judges have their favorites and they had an idea of what type of artist they wanted to win this season... and it was not and is not someone who sings R&B. Siobhan tonight did a good job but it her version of a Stevie Wonder's Superstious was not soulful AT ALL! Not to my surprise, the judges loved it and was surprised that she could sing R&B! REALLY!!!
Yeah BIG Mike! Nice interpretation. Such a whole voice. Just a smidge indulgent towards the end but hey, its called show biz for a reason!
I think that he sang really well and he normally does. But, I have a feeling that he will eventually slowly fade and he will place around a top 5 finish.
Solid performance...now isn't the time to take risks. Just play it safe and let the competition play out and sort through all the weaker contestants like Paige and Tim. Mike did nothing to hurt his stock tonight. Good stuff. And I'm looking forward to the studio version, it's going to sound really nice!
it was good.... until he did the falsetto. and it seems that he couldn't handle the high sustaining notes. i guess that's the kind of singer he is. the falsetto guy. i mean for a big guy he doesn't have too much big pipes.
Which brings me back to Angela Martin! She should have been there for the R&B crowd!
Sorry but Paige was horrible tonight, although she has a decent voice and I could still hear she wasn't quite well yet, that was just plain terrible. Not to mention, she is not R&B material because she likes pop songs.
Mike did a really good job and right now is the only R&B representative as long as he sticks to R&B or picks a song he can put the R&B spin on.
The days of Ruben, Fantasia, Tamyra, Melinda, J-Hud.........are clearly gone as that is not what this show is looking for!
The reason the R&B singers are being eliminated this season is because they're nowhere near as talented as they have been in previous seasons. We're really going to pretend that Michelle Delamor and Paige Miles even begin to come close to Melinda Doolittle, Latoya London, Fantasia, etc.?
It's not a conspiracy. Paige just isn't that good.
