Melanie Amaro and Astro remain with Epic Records – Report
MusicJust because Melanie Amaro and Astro aren’t on Epic’s site doesn’t mean aren’t on board anymore – and Melanie says she is releasing her album with or without the label!

A Epic Records rep confirmed to Pop & Hiss that although Amaro (who won The X Factor‘s inaugural season) and Astro’s (who was a finalist that year) images have disappeared on Epic’s roster online – they are still with the label. Earlier this week reports appeared onine that both Amaro and Astro were dropped from Epic.
Melanie appeared on Ustream last week and said,
“There’s been a lot of stuff going on … it kinda brought me down. I keep believing that everything will happen in time. I’ve been really sad, I know everybody has been reading things. I won’t even go into that,” she said before later tearing up and stopping to compose herself.
“But I do know that God has a plan for me regardless of what happens to me in the music industry.”
Poor thing. I really hope she can have some sort of breakthrough. They really dropped the ball before her career started.
