Mariah Carey Gets New Reality Series, But Dem Babies Won’t Show Up
Singer Mariah Carey has landed her own reality series on E! from the producers of Caitlyn Jenner’s “I Am Cait.” “Mariah’s World” has started filming and it will focus on her tours of Europe and South Africa.
True to form, Mariah refuses to call her show a “reality show” as she was interviewed by New York Times. It’s an eight-part documentary series:
”I refuse to call it a reality show,” she said in a telephone interview. The series, she said, is all about getting to know her better and not, as she put it, “Here I am, getting my nails done.”
“I thought it would be a good opportunity to kind of, like, show my personality and who I am, even though I feel like my real fans have an idea of who I am,” she explained. “A lot of people have misperceptions about this and that.”
The show started filming in Las Vegas two weeks ago as she prepares for her European trip. Some things are off limits though: Her 4-year-old twins Monroe and Morrocan won’t appear. Neither will her fiancé billionaire James Packer.
Honestly, I’m a bit disappointed. Those are the most interesting things in her life right now and that’s what her fans want to see. Her life as a mother and how she is madly in love. Too bad.
