I think it's just the photo. He's never been a heavy person, & with the ruffled hair & scruffy beard, he looks old there. Also, the light didn't help. As we age we also lose collegen in our face, so if you're already thin, age is going to show more on your face than if you are heavy. I don't know anything about his life or health, but I think a lot of people are jumping to conclusions here. Haven't we all taken some bad pics in our lives?

On another note, grown-up Mac looks a lot like Willem Dafoe.
It's look like he is taking meth. Reminds me a friend who did take meth and looked like this when we discovered he was indeed taking meth. Aaron Carter looks the same too in Rickey's recent posting.Sad!

neville1200 if you think releasing "hacked" nudie photos to the public, telling everyone how you showed up for work drunk on a regular basis and generally making yourself look like a hot mess to stay in the public eye is a sign of someone who is "ok" then more power to you. I don't think either of them are total train wrecks yet, but I think it would be a good idea if they and other child stars like them take a hard look at the end result of the type of lifestyle they are at least trying to give people the impression they are leading is. If you can look at that pic and tell me this dude is just fine, then I'd have to question your judgement in general.
I love daniel radcliffe and I don't hate miley, but I'd rather not have to read about them turnig up dead in a hotel room somewhere down the road.
Joystickenvy I'm sorry for you and the other train wreck-lovers/ambulance chasers who hang out at <a href="http://www.minorcon.org/">A Minor Consideration</a>, but <i>neither</i> star has any problems and look quite well. Radcliffe has admitted to drinking in the past, and has said that he's stopped-that's good enough for me. Culkin looks okay to me (albeit somewhat thin) and that's all there is to it. And Miley seems to be sowing her wild oats (something that I wished that I could have really done, but couldn't) so all I will do is wish her well, and tell you to get a life and butt out of theirs.
He has the look of someone who has been and probably is currently taking some heavy illegal drugs. While I will not speculate with specificity to the drug class, and I don't mean to get all 'tabloidy' here...I'll say he looks as if he has full blown AIDS. Most likely not or we probably would have heard. My guess is addiction to 1st schedule narcotic and to alcohol. His face, premature aging, gauntness displays the long term effects. He is likely suffering from associated depression or perhaps another mental illness which he was self-medicating. Sad really.
