Lucy Hale In Billboard Interview – Podcast Audio Listen
Lucy Hale was featured on Billboard’s Pop Shop Podcast last week to chat to Billboard.com associate editor Jason Lipshutz and Billboard associate director of charts Keith Caulfield about her debut single ‘You Sound Good To Me’.
The Pretty Little Liars star made her Hot 100 debut last week, bowing at #88, while she hit #4 on the Country Digital Songs chart, and debuted in the top 30 of Hot Country Songs.
In the interview, Lucy said that she was “blown away” by the support she’d been getting for the song, explaining “[Fans] are diggin’ it! And that’s really cool”. Lucy explains that although the single toes the line between country and pop, her album will contain all kinds of sounds and influences, with “a little bit of everything”, noting that radio DJs were surprised at just how deep some of the lyrics on the new record were.
The album will hit stores in late Spring, and she says that it’s a real snapshot of where she’s at in her life right now. Finally, she assures fans that she’s not leaving Pretty Little Liars, and that she’ll ride it out to the end, balancing her acting and music careers.
