Fox Wants to Make a Live-Action ‘X-Men’ Series

If Fox has its way, a live-action X-Men television series could be coming to a small screen near you.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the network is currently in the discussion phase of their plan.

The Hollywood Reporter says things are slightly further along, with sources squealing that 24 producers Evan Katz and Manny Coto are involved in the project as showrunners.

THR also reports that Star Trek 3 writers Patrick McKay and JD Payne will be involved in the series’ script creation.

While Fox does own the rights to the X-Men, Marvel would have to agree with the deal and seeing as they’re tied with ABC who airs Agents of SHIELD and Agent Carter, things could get messy.
