‘Life of Pi’ was the big winner at the Motion Picture Sound Editors’ 60th Annual Golden Reel Awards, taking home two awards, while its chief Oscar rivals, ‘Skyfall’ and ‘Les Miserables’ took one award apiece. While many predict that ‘Life of Pi’, which also earned a special Filmmaker Award for director Ang Lee, will still sweep the tech categories at next Sunday’s Academy Awards, its opponents refuse to be written off.
