i think Lee is the best, and i hope he will win, but i love crystal to she is a good sing to, and i hope the best for her to..... good luck to both of them.................

So, first off, I'm 16 and I'm not only diggin' Lee because he's a dude. I watched this season for Aaron originally (I went to a camp with him so I was excited to see him on tv, he was wicked talented at camp) but I ended up watching week after week for Lee.
I think the appeal with Lee is the honesty in his voice, I've been a fan from the beginning and there's just something about his voice that I really love. I can hear in places that he goes flat and out of pitch, but there's just something about him that I can't pinpoint that makes me look forward to hearing him sing each week. He seems to get better week after week and from the beginning of the season to now I can see a huge difference in his confidence and vocals.
But back to what I was saying originally, there's just something honest and pure about his voice that I really think is rad. He has a unique tone. That's just how I see it though.

You people kill me! One night they pimp Lee...one freaking night and everyone goes crazy. UMM HEELLLOO they've been pimpin Crystal ever since day 1. I'm not a huge Crystal fan, actually I cant stand her but I'm not on her page posting ridiculous stuff about her!

I repeat Lee will win and he deserves it!!!

It seems like the judges are up to their old tricks again. This was average at best.

Its CRAZY awesome to see the support Lee has now.. he has like 70 comments while crystal has like.... what? 30? good job Crystal... really.. good job.. inspiring... heh

"Simple Man" and "Hallelujah" were Lee's best performances to date. I think he realized after his homecoming that he is now a big star. I have never seen that much confidence in him. Tuesday was Lee's night, no doubt about it. However, it's obvious Crystal and Lee will both get recording contracts from 19 Entertainment. I like Crystal and Lee both, so next week I don't really care who wins, I just want the season to be over.

Actually lee was pitchy in hallelujah esp toward the end. Casey sang very well but his songs were boring. Wonder if it was done on purpose esp by the judges. it is obvious Randy does not like Casey. strange that he and kara would choose a boring and lazy song for him. Crystal ..... she sings well but she does not have idol persona.
I like all 3 so i am being objective here.

I was so concerned about Halellujah - I even thought this song choice will prejudice him.
But I must confess: Simon is very smart, he really knows the music business !
Simon's song choice gave Lee the chance to SHINE at the stage and I'm quite sure will lead him to the victory (*thanks Simon :) )

oh my god. this confirms everything. this season of american idol is so dull and boring that even a speck of goodness is translated to pure greatness. lee's performance is not that great. it's just the show is so stupid that they will take anything to make it look "awesome". casey should win!

He worked hard and earned his way to where he is. If you don't like him, don't write, but to be haters is to be so immature. So much "hatin" on here. Everyone has there own way of singing a song, Lee's way was great, I thought, as so did so many others. So don't "hate" "appreciate"!

It was just ok, It did absolutely NOTHING for me....... I can't believe it but I agree with votefortheworst that this guy has very very little vocal talent, comparing this guy to Crystal's vocals and artistry is laughable.... the pimping is way too much for this guy...

Okay I am sorry, but whoever keeps saying Casey deserves to be in the final, I'm sorry but it's not true. Casey has been struggling for weeks, and I've seen him be able to sing one kind of music and that's it, he's been the same tone, and everything seems so the same for him with me. I don't feel any newness from him, I'm never excited to see his performances, and Big Mike should still be here and Casey in the audience. Not trying to offend anyone, but that's the truth. It should of been Crystal, Mike, and Lee this week, and I would not care which of those 3 would win, because they've all got amazing voices and talent.

Being the one who absolutely dislikes him and thinks he is simply not good enough....I was quite impressed with him tonight. Like, really impressed....I still think the fantards who were like "omg i cried" really need to get hit in the head with something hard....but thats with anyone, even Crystal. XD

Anyway for moral reasons, I hope he goes home. Sorry, too little too late. But he was very, VERY good.

The judges' standard has gone way down this season. The performances they raved about tonight were ok but they don't compare to the most memorable performances from previous seasons (e.g. Adam's Mad World, Kris's Heartless, David's Billie Jean, Carrie's Alone...just to name a few).

I love him so much. Watching again!

The arrangement of Hallelujah completely contradicts the song's meaning....It's supposed to be a haunting, somber funeral dirge-ish song speaking of the pains & tribulations of love. He made it sound like an uplifting-gospel-tinged revival composition....Even though Leonard Cohen also used a choir, it was to accent the "Hallelujah"s, not destroying the meaning of the song. Sorry, but I HATED that!!!!

Why does everyone have to compare Lee to David Cook and Kris Allen. They are three COMPLETELY different artists. I'm a fan of all of them and Daughtry too. This season is about the contestants that are performing THIS SEASON.

Lee owned the stage tonight. He was not off-key. He was very confident. And he outsang the other two. Contrary to what some believe Crystal's vocals are far from perfect. When she goes big it gets entirely too shrieky. Some people like it. That's their opinion and they're more than welcome to it. But the fact is she is not a better singer than Lee. Deal with it.

I loved Lee's performances tonight. He and Crystal should be in the finals. Sorry, but Casey bored me to death tonight.

His song choice was best by far, that alone earned him the finale spot. Simons choice was better then i expected, but its still a song that is easily sung(tim urban).

The fact that casey didnt even show up and crystal was off, made Lee's good performances seem epic. Overall very dissapointing night

Love that song but he went badly flat right after the chorus came out on the last note before the second verse. KD Lang, Brandi Carlisle, Jeff Buckley, Jason Castro, all have much much better versions. The song was too "big" for his range. Like the first song well enough though.

I agree with Violet. Simo totally picked that song because he knows the effect. Like he said to TIm is a song that reacts.
FWIW I really prefer Tim and Jason´s versions compared to Lee´s. They are way more sweet and heartfelt. But to each their own.
Listen Lee will win, he will sell tons of records and AI will have their third straight male guitar winner. Heh.

I have LOVED this kid since "Chasing Cars." Something in his eyes....I'm so super happy for him right now. He is the "ONE."

I like Lee, but he has a tendency to go a little flat... and Hallelujah was not a good song choice for him. He pulled it off, though... but sounded much better on Simple Man. Simon Cowell owns the rights to this song... so it's not surprising why he picked it. He makes royalties off the itunes downloads. Plus, I much prefer Jason Castro's version... he has a new album out with Hallelujah on it, and it's hauntingly beautiful. I don't think this song was meant to be belted with a brass behind it. Lee does remind me of Bruce Springsteen, however, and I think he's a good singer... but of all songs to pick... I really think Simon Cowell picked this from a financial perspective. Even if Lee had totally screwed it up, which he didn't.. he was ok... people would go to download someone's version of the song.. and Cowell makes money. Check out Jason Castro's version from his new album.. much better.

Wow! I don't get it, Hallelujah was a so-so perfromance for me but the judges seem to be wetting themselves, This is absurd, maybe I just don't really like his voice, reminds me too much of Danny Gokey's

The show is a complete and utter FAILURE.
There is no hope left for a GIRL TO WIN IDOL EVER. PERIOD. No hope what so ever. It's just done. The show is a waste. If a girl wasnt going to win this year, I would be done watching american idol for good. I'm serious this time.
Allison iraheta left and I was crushed. I decided to watch again and I fell in love with Crystals voice and if she doesn't win I'M DONE FOR GOOD.

Curious that so many people I've seen elsewhere seem surprised by seeing a choir with this song.

I know that Jeff Buckley and Jason Castro didn't use one, but Leonard Cohen sure did, and Lee seemed to be aiming much closer to Cohen than Buckley.
