Under Jermaine Dupri, former American Idol finalist Leah LaBelle is back for more with her second single “Lolita.” LaBelle’s ecletic R&B mixes in some disco, funk and latin. But is it instant like the scorching “Sexify?”

Leah’s debut album is due later this year via Epic Records, Dupri’s So So Def and Pharrell’s I Am Other.

No “Sexify” this is not. It’s not a bad song, but I almost want to tell LaBelle & Dupri to go back to the drawing board. But it’s really not a bad song and I hate saying that it’s not good, but I just don’t really think its going to do nothing for her. But I love the funky disco poppy and slightly-latin feel of the song. I hope it does well.
