She's just not that good in this to me. I really don't know what people are hearing, but she sounds off tune to me, and the background singers did NOT help her at all. It's a great song choice for her because it will connect the majority of Idol voters, who are young teen girls, with her. But vocally, she did NOTHING for me.

I'm not a Lauren fan at all, but I don't deny she has a fine voice. Candle in the Wind was beautiful. But this.. I cringe when I hear it. It almost felt like she couldn't hear herself properly.

I did a comparison of Lauren contrated a YouTube of Miley: She sounds a bit like Miley, but she only improves Miley slightly, in some places and then omits entire syllables for example: the line "but I got to keep trying", Miley has a rest after the "I" whereas Lauren holds the "I", almost breaking down, then both sing "got to" as "got tah" but whereas Miley sings "try'ng" Lauren only sings "try" dropping any attempt to sing the second syllable-that's poor. Stuff like that just kills a singer in a well known song.

Lauren was amazing I hope she is one of the last two standing.

She doesn't hit the big notes and off key.. both times on the word - Climb. The judges did not call her on it. She had the potential and did not deliver. You must sing the hook on key.

You're a bit obnoxious, but you're definitely right. Lauren is always karaoke. I've never gotten her and never will. For her to be a pop star she needs to be original (not) and/or hot (needs to lose 30). This is her15.
