Katie Stevens – Feeling Good – Video MP3 American Idol Top 24 Performances
Katie Stevens sings “Feeling Good” by Michael Buble on the American Idol 9 Top 24
Ellen DeGeneres: You have a great voice and a powerful voice. I want to see you 17. It was a little old for you.
Kara DioGuardi: You were all over the place. You have a natural gift.
Randy Jackson: You were pushing to hard. You can only be 17 once.
Simon Cowell: It was like your mom and dad dressed you and picked the song. It started to become annoying. Very pageanty.
SAVE KATIE STEVENS! OMG, Team Katie. The world is full of haters! Save Katie!

Got Something to Add?
This song was written in 1965, so, I don't think it belongs to Michael Buble. Several artists have made their own versions. I have to tell you that Adam's interpretation was unbeliavable. I think nobody should sing that one again.
She was not pitchy and please people if have a mind of your own. Do not be swayed with the Judges comments. This was not the worst performance. She was good. Kara always exaggerates her critique. When Kris Allen sung "Man in the Mirror", she was the only one who gave him negative comments but Kris Allen advanced to the next round with that performance. The point about Katie is the song is back-numbered, it was old fashion. I would love to her to sing, Somewhere Over the Rainbow, The Climb, No One. She has a good range and this is very good to begin with. If you really have the ears for music you can tell if she was good or not. Most of those who commented here obviously don't know how to sing. And correct, Adam fans, get over!
terrible tween performance, expected more from her with all the hype
and yes, Her performance pales in comparison to Adam's from last year
This by far was the best performance of the night...her voice was incredible. She did have a few pitchy notes but seriously the judges rip her for not being 17?...bleh. I didn't catch any of the other performances of the night other than what I saw on the recaps at the end when they listed the numbers, but judging from that, the rest of the girls voice's don't even compare to hers.
The choice of song was perhaps aimed at showing her vocals. Unfortunately, it lacked the energy the song required. And I agree, the song was too old for her. But she'll get through. I sure.
The way she's moving and facial expression = lmfaooo!!! 17 and trying to be sexy? Not happenin' sweetie! Fail. I don't think her voice is marketable at all.
I'm having a Jordin Sparks deja-vu moment. It was clear right off the bat that the producers wanted her to win. I can't stand it when Idol force-feeds me a contestant, and such contestant is Katie. Argh!
I don't remember Adam singing this song. Maybe its because SO MANY FREAKING PEOPLE sing it.
And comparing it to Adam's is dumb. If you're going to compare it compare it to the original artist not some random cover version that no one remembers except for obsessed people.
It's still dumb to compare anyways, who cares, I don't watch people performances and compare it to other versions. It's friggin american idol it's a karaoke contest, and karaoke is what I expect I'm not comparing I'm just seeing how they do.
Who the hell cares who sang it better?
Overall I have to agree, I think calling AI karaoke is a little harsh but I can totally see where youre coming from. Even Simon has called many an AI performance karaoke lol.
There's only one top 24 song I remember. It was Kris Allen's MJ song and thats ONLY because MJ died during the summer and they ended up dedicating a show to his songs. AI mentioned Kris's "man in the mirror" version, if not for that I wouldnt have remembered it.
I do have to admit I roll my eyes when I hear an alicia keys song or the like on AI though lol.
This is Season 9, not season 8, NEXT.
Adam Lambert beats this girl to the ground when it comes to singing Feeling Good. This girl is completely over-rated! Certainly one of the better girls but not the best whatsoever. The best is with out a doubt Crystal and Siobhan.
she sang an adam song the year after he was on the show, she had to know shed get compared by the public, and well adam won that comparison hands down, sorry katie. she has a nice voice tho, needs some more charisma/ stage presence tho
I haven't seen this yet but already I'm hoping she'll be eliminated. Anyone who chooses this sing pisses me off. ugh. So oversung and it's not even a good song. Same with If I Ain't Got You.
Im a a katie fan and i want her to win but i expected a little bit more than this performance, im not saying i disnt like it but i hoped she had picked another song. She will make it and i pray that she picks a more current song an ok maybe noy curreny but more upbeat and lose than this song. She has it to makw it a long way :)
Isn't this a perfect performance for the Top 24 week? Having watched previous seasons of Idol, the one thing you definitely don't want to do is blow the doors off during Top 24 week. It's best to pace yourself and manage expectations. Let's be honest, Katie could butcher songs for the next few weeks and still be safe, because there is some low-hanging fruit that'll get picked off well before her.
good performance, but i can't help but think about when stacey and michael buble did this on the x-factor. that was a crazy, amazing performance!!!
This is literally the worst possible song choice. It is the definition of karaoke/cabaret/amateur wedding singing. And don't say, "But Adam Lambert did it well!" - his performance was syrupy and distasteful, like most of his stuff. The girl has potential but seems a little too young, and age usually is not an issue for me. I can't believe more people aren't talking about how horrendous of a pick this was.
I'm not a hater of Katie. I actually really liked her audition and in hollywood week. But, this performance was really not that amazing. It wasn't bad by all means, but it didn't stand out. At least she go the pimp spot, and she's been hyped over since day one. If not for that, she may have been thrown under the bus.
I'm with Randy, she's trying too hard. And hasn't she seen Idol in the past? They want the 17 y.o. to act like teens, not grownup adults. She wasn't that great....Broadway calling?
I'm not a fan of her, probably because I'm not a 12 year old girl, total American Idol material though.
she was all over the place... she has potential but i agree with them that the song was too old for her .... she tried to hard...
interesting performance... but i cant help but compare how adam lambert did this song.. his was memorable but katie's is not :(
but she got the pimp slot... so she goes through
