it's a perfect song selection for sendin a message to the judges!!! and she did great. but for me, not as excellent as her big girls don't cry. for those of you who likes Katie and haven't heard her big girls don't cry studio version yet, listen to it now!!! she sounds amazing!!! and this time, i'm gonna blame the judges!!! cause to them, her strugglin in song choice, in which genre she must be in is kinda like a joke to them just to get each other laugh and just for Kara to beat Simon up. that's unfair!!! cause it matters a lot to her. and now she's gone. too too bad!!! cause nest week mentor Alicia Keys and the inspirational songs would fit her voice perfectly, i bet!!! keep up the good singin Katie!!!

Katie deserved to be in Tim's place for Idol Gives Back. She's missing out on such a BIG event! Plus she's missing Alicia Keys!!! But at least she's going on tour. I just wanna say that I'm gonna be the first to buy her album!!!! All the best for your future Katie!!! we love you!
I just dont know how I'll manage to watch every week without Katie in the show.
Guess we'll be seeing her in a white dress at the finale.

I agree with Simon!!! You want to impress the judges, not annoy them!!! She should listen to Simon and go country! Remember what he said about Carrie out selling the other idols!!! If I was on the show I would listen more to Simon than the other judges!!!

Don't like the 'Girlfriend!!' head bobbing! It didn't work for her 2 weeks ago and not so much tonight. Strong vocal, but this just didn't suit her. Dare I agree w/Simon and say she should go country? She sounded like Carrie Underwood!!

I feel like I am in the side lounge of a casino listening to a sub-par vocal & performance while the main act is elsewhere. Sorry, I think she needs to go tonight. Along with Andrew.

Her voice is good. She's a great pageant contestant but had no genuine charisma on stage this week.

Her head movements are soooo wierd. But she atleast sang the song well.

Katie is leaps and bounds above some of these other contestants. She's young, current, has an amazing voice, and is marketable. If she continues to rock it each week, she could be very successful. I loved it!

Another one of my favorites of the night. She is in the top 3 or 4 best singers in the competition. I thought tonight besides a couple of bad notes ( because she has been growling to much) it was GREAT!!! I hope she stays around for a while.

Not bad at all. With Katie though, when she comes on hardedged or more "mature" it still feels like an act and not genuine.

It was awesome.

This was not bad at all, but I'd consider it a middle-of-the-pack performance for me. But, honestly, thats not a safe place to be. But, she doesn't deserve to be sent home tomorrow.

I liked it with the exception of a few ouch moments....if you're gonna growl, you still have to do it in tune. But whatever though....she did quite well, good on her for getting a little naughty and losing the pageant thing. :P
