I thought that song was way too big for her. That was really the wrong song for her, but she is very sweet and the bilingual thing has a big plus with Spanish speaking voters. We haven't had a Latina win Idol yet, so she's the hopeful Selena wannabe.
kinda shocked at responses, this was a very weaaaaaaak vocal performance. I felt she did spanish to cover up her lame attempt at the song.
Nicely done, for the most part. But the "look mom, I'm doing a key change!" moment was completely unnecessary.
I wasn't thinking along those lines...but you are right and I am liking where you are going with this! Good observation. I think that literally losing the ugly prom dress may garner her some much needed votes. Shucks...too late.
I thought I was watching the Talent competition of a pageant...now I am waiting for Miss Colombia to sing LOL
