Justin Timberlake Announces New Album (?)

Justin Timberlake took to twitter this morning to (maybe) give fans the news they’d been desperate to hear for years now. That’s right, Justin Timberlake is (probably) working on a new album.

It’s been quite some time since the singer has put out fresh music, but the writing is on the wall. First, Timberlake tweeted out a cryptic message to fans, alerting them to expect some important news this Thursday morning. Still, for an artist like Timberlake, who has invested himself in everything from acting gigs to reviving the ever-decaying Myspace, a tweet like that could have meant a new cologne.

It was what followed the initial cryptic message that caused quite a stir. Timberlake uploaded a well-shot video to his youtube account this morning, which came coupled with a countdown on his official website, explaining his current mindset regarding his recording career. Check it out below:

As Timberlake put it,

“I don’t want to put anything out that I feel like is something I don’t love. You just don’t get that every day. You have to wait for it… I’m ready.”

Well, fans, it sound like that’s the closest thing we’re going to get to solid proof until the countdown winds to an end this coming Sunday. That’s right, three days. I’ll take it. Hardcore Timberlake fans and insiders have been buzzing about a possible collaboration with Jay-Z and Beyonce. Apparently, my man Florida let it slip that this specific trio had been working on new music while guesting on a radio show.
