Joshua Ledet – You Pulled Me Through – American Idol 11 Top 13 Boys
Joshua Ledet sang ‘You Pulled Me Through’ on the American Idol 11 Top 13 Boys
I cannot stand listening to his throat liquids while he’s singing. He really needs to clear his throat before he sings. So awful. This was over the top and not enjoyable at all.

Randy Jackson: Can I get an amen up in here?
Jennifer Lopez: I want to punch you.
Steven Tyler: Mantasia! You are the voice the world is waiting to hear.

Got Something to Add?
This guy has a classic sixties/seventies voice that we just don't hear that much anymore. In tone it is actually a lot like Little Richards'. I hope he picks something very uptempo that would seem to go against the "diva" typecast, a classic, simple rock song, with a strong back beat. Even the Aerosmith cover version of Come Together would be fine.
Come on Rickey, you have to be fair in your comments, if not what is the point to enter and read your blog? come on. This gay CAN sing and he was the best of the night. So if you want to criticize somebody pls start with your favorite Heejun.
After listening again...it was actually great. You guys just don't like him as a personality. Too faggy for you. Not cute enough for you. But he's got soul, that is for sure, and he can sang. His Jar of Hearts was also brilliant.
He was OK. A bit over the top and reminded me of the guy last year -- the black guy can't remember his name. I wouldn't buy his record. I think he chose the wrong song.
This kid is the real deal! True gospel! I felt everything in his soul when he sang that song. He gave me chills. He will go through and become one of the favorites to win.
Based on talent and popularity, the ones to go through will be:
1. Phil Philips
2. Colton Dixon
3. Joshua Ledet
6. Either Reed, Jeremy or Adam. I think it will be Reed
Preach Rickey...so many of the boyz seem to be ho-hum. I see nothing original about them...the only one so far I am drawn to is Heejun but he's got to step it up and show American why he was chosen...nervous or not, "Angels" wasn't as near as BRILLIANT as Archie's version....
Wow, I think some of you guys just don't like HIM--too effiminate, too unathletic, too unhip, or whatever--because for sure he was the only pro sounding voice up there tonight. And of course it was over the top; it's a gospel sort of song. But why is he singing it for the opening show? They should have had him sing something like Long Tall Sally or Hallelujah I Love Her So. His voice is very much like Little Richards' in tone; listen to him in Hit em Up Style. This is a guy with a great voice who needs a manager and shouldn't be on this sort of show because it shows too much of his un-idolish personality. No one wants to know that he's afraid to fly....You negative guys must not like Otis Redding or any classic soul, because that is what it sounds like. That was really good, and nothing like last year's male diva, whatever his name was.
Not good. At all. None of the guys were good tonight. Stand out was Jermaine & Deandre for me. Hope they make it through.

Don't like him, but twitter ppl and the judges seem to think he's good. Way oversang. I fear we are stuck with him. If "America" doesn't vote for him the judges will save him.
@LiWright Nothing like him, except that they are both black. Sound is nothing alike. That guy was all over the place.
@esqape i think that they sould go home and that joshua, jessica and hollie sould be in the top 3!!!
@Klope62 The raw gargling of saliva amplified by a mic needs to be called out I'm sorry.
@Rickey at least he has talent.
@Rickey Heejun had it too.
@doobeedoo I'm not sure what your point is exactly. I actually don't care for most of aretha's music. The difference here is Aretha actually is an amazing talent. I don't care for a lot of her music, but she's an amazing singer. Joshua Ledet on the other hand both sings in a style I don't care for and has mediocre talent at best.
@doobeedoo Not a fan of soul or gospel and definitely not a fan of vocal histrionics, so even if I thought his singing was great, I probably wouldn't enjoy him much. However I still think he's mediocre at best.
@Rickey Oh wait, you didn't mean visually. Haha. ;p
