Jon Peter Lewis of American Idol Season 3 auditioned for The Voice. He made the revelation on his Facebook today.

I hope he makes it to the live rounds! He was such a huge fan favorite on American Idol. Idol produces stars! Stars!!!

Yes he was a fan favorite.  Just not much exposure until the live shows and then saddled with bad songs.  I am listening to his album "Break the Silence" as I type this.  It is still fine.  "Everything is lost without the grace".  I can't wait to see what becomes....... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8RrO6-SWGYk

@waynocoaster- If you think placing 8th makes a contestant a "fan favorite", you're living in some kind of fantasy world a normal, rational, logical person doesn't. What Peters has done after Idol (nothing really) in your eyes still doesn't qualify him as a fan favorite! By the way, how many albums has he sold? How many Top 40 hits has he had?  If he had been a "fan favorite", it wouldn't have mattered what songs he sang.  Look at Phil Phil, he can't sing a lick, but somehow won a singing competition.

@KatManFoSho I forgot who he was! Even after I played a few of his performances, I still couldn't place him and I watched all of season 3. He was filler. He wasn't awful as much as he was forgettable.

Finishing in 8th Place hardly qualifies this guy as a "fan favorite".  Jennifer Hudson was eliminated the next week (in 7th place) and nobody refers to her as a fan favorite at that time.
