Jimmy Fallon, Alanis Morissette and Meghan Trainor Sing ‘Ironic’ as Chickens (VIDEO)

Jimmy Fallon has brought about some strange skits on The Tonight Show, but few have been stranger than the musical performances he manages to arrange, whether it’s Joseph Gordon-Levitt joining Jimmy for a barbershop rendition of “Bitch Better Have My Money”, or whether it’s…whatever this is.

In this clip, Jimmy teams up with Meghan Trainor and Alanis Morissette to perform the 1995 hit “Ironic” from Alanis’s iconic Jagged Little Pill album. However, this performance has a twist: the group performs as the “Jagged Little Chicks”, dressed head to toe in chicken outfits, and clucking the entire song rather than singing. It’s deliriously absurd…and yet, it’s kind of hilarious. It’s all about commitment to the bit, and Jimmy, Meghan, and Alanis certainly commit like crazy. This is far more entertaining than I was expecting, considering the absurdity of the premise. But then, absurdity is the order of the day on Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show. Watch the video below:
