How did he make the top 24? O.o His attitude blows. His overconfidence is unjustified. And now he's asking the judges what to do. What kind of artist asks others what he should create? Pathetic...

I love Jermaine Sellers....He has more personality than any other of those guys. And he has a sexy voice when he sings in his lower register.

He took a song that probaly means a lot to a lot of people and simply made it a mockery. I know god? shouldnt he be the 1 in the hospital, this guy has imaginery friends.

Ugh, I find this guy to be majorly annoying! Not so much when he sings but afterward when he opens his divo mouth. Jermaine: I know God too and he's far too busy with what's going on in the world to worry much about a singing competition. You're on your own, dude.

Jermaine doesn't have a bad voice but I'm afraid he's going to piss people off and get himself canned before he has a chance to really show what he can do. OTOH, he's certainly more memorable than some of the other guys (i.e., John Park) so that may hold him in good stead for awhile.

i think Simon is wrong... if they say Jermaine is always doing too much... why?? Jermaine has his style.. he has type to sing like that., he has big talented and awesome vocal... if people say he have a horibble vocal... just give him a chance.

Absolutely horrible.

He needs to watch some of Nikko Smith's performances for some inspiration. Nikko had a powerful voice but he knew how to tone it down for his performances except for a FEW runs that fit with the flow of the song. Contestants try too hard to "make it their own" when really, if they have a great voice then there's really nothing wrong with just singing the normal version.

I LOVE Jermaine! Not only is he deliciously diva-tastic, but I really think he can SANG! I do think he tends to be over the top in his arrangements... he doesn't need to do all that crazy stuff. We already know what he can do and it's not necessary all the time. He needs to dial it down a few notches and he'll be good to go. I think he needs to stay though because he adds a little spice to the show... most of the other guys are pretty frickin' boring.

That first half of his performance was as bad as anyone has sung in the final round in the history of Idol. Truly horrible. It got better in the second half -- but by then, the damage was irrepairable.

I hate this guy. I hate his hair. I hate that he thinks he's ALL THAT.

You are terrible, Rickey! Jermaine merely needs a bit of composure. Some lyrical control & he can be a strong competitor in this race. He IS 1 of the Top guys.

Have been waiting for a soulful singer to come along & deliciously kill 1 of my faves by 90's R&B star, Tevin Campbell. Justice can be done to the "I'm Ready" ballad if sung by Jermaine. I just know it!:)

Now, if he dared re-ARRANGE it, he would still receive a pummeling because the song does not warrant re-arranging. It is perfect.

Idol is Corrupt! They want Jermaine and Todrick to FAIL so BAD on Season 9. They also Kept Angela Martin from getting in the Top 24. And it’s wrong!

I commend jermaine for his church singing background. I'm just not too crazy about what he has done so far.

Compared to Kris' amazing performance of this song last season, Jermaine was completely horrible. I hated it.

It's very clear that American Idol is not similar to a church style competition like sunday best. However I think that its crazy to say that some of these other people have the talent and ability he has. It's hard to hold back when you have a big voice with a great deal of range and a gospel background. Fantasia saved the church for her post idol career. Most of the people that buy her albums are not considered the target market of American Idol. He has to be pitch perfect and almost reserved to make it on idol period.

I think he sounds good, better than last week, It's not too much for me, his voice is the kind I like! I dunno what direction the judges want the show to go to, they are slamming Todrick and Jermaine, these two have the best vocals in this year's male bunch!

JermaineSellers approached it like a church singer. I appreciate that, but Mainstream America? They don’t know about that.

The positive: Jermaine has singing talent... possesses stage presence... and, has STYLE. I am in agreement with Ellen. The guy has got his own STYLE, as evidenced by last week & I like it & like him. He is cute & memorable.

However, on the negative. And, there is a negative. I think that the majority of the judges were on point in the criticism of Jermaine showcasing most of his vocal athletics in 1 song. It is overkill & a no-n0. He needs to choose another good song next week. I agree with Ellen again, Jermaine made good selections 2 weeks in a row. But, the execution of the songs were not as pristine as they could have been.

I thought that he was not as bad as Simon declared. His notes were kinda all over the place at intervals but on 2nd listen, the performance was okay. Jermaine has a pretty voice & needs to really focus on delivery.

Great voice, too bad he's arrogant and obnoxious. I want him to stay. Way more entertaining than most of the overall bland guys this year.

Some runs sound terrific; these are totally ridiculous: they detract from the song. Think about Marvin Gaye. He began his career in the Moonglows--that era's version of a boy band. The Moonglows did crossover music, and like all the harmony groups of that era, they were smooth and they were obsessively on key. Even as the music grew more ambitious in Marvin's solo career, he was always "in control" vocally, knew what he was doing and where he wanted to go with a song.... Jermaine should do something totally different now, if he's lucky enough to stay, which he probably won't be. He should cover a hummable Paul Simon or Jason Mraz song, cut out the melisma, and stay on melody and in pitch...if he can. However, he probably can't. Which is why he does the runs--he can't stay in pitch or hold notes.

Wow, this guy is just a jerk. Is he the one who dissed the band in Hollywood week? The judges are spot on and he just doesn't want to hear it. Marvin is rolling in his grave. The middle was torture. I hope he's gone this week, I can't take much more of his attitude.

His voice is better than Casey's -- almost no off keys there but it was just over the top

Jermaine better get himself together, because Simon is saying he’s finished after tonight. I dont believe Simon, becuase it’s worst singers out there than Jermaine. Jermaine come from a church background where those runs sound perfect with the Gospel music. Simon really needs to go to church and listen.

Jermaine is totally lost. He can't find the melody, much less stay on it. He sings around the tune not because he's a showoff, but because he can't find the melody.

Sad. He has a lovely voice, but he can't think clearly, and he isn't an artist. He wants to show his range, when really an artist conveys an idea.

Jermaine has really been a dissapointment. Jermaine finished in 4th place on Sunday's Best 2 years ago. He's not picking the right song.
