Jermaine Jones – Dance With My Father – American Idol 11 Top 13 Boys
Jermaine Jones sang ‘Dance With My Father’ on the American Idol 11 Top 13 Boys
He was the wild card pick. This was such a scary low vocal. I probably won’t buy his record. He looks like a nice guy though.

Randy Jackson: The gentle giant returns!
Jennifer Lopez: You have a special voice and spirit.

So disappointed it was Jermaine, whether or not he's a nice guy. The wild card nonsense was just a big publicity stunt because they failed to bring back a contestant that actually has a shot of winning, like Johnny Keyser or David Leathers. Jermaine?! REALLY?! That was a blatant ploy to grab ratings, saving the "big reveal" for the end. It should have been Johnny Keyser! He could sing most of the top 13 guys under the table with his crazy runs. I could only shake my head at the mediocre Chase Likens and Jeremy Rosado, along with the bizarre-voiced Creighton Fraker, wondering why there was room for them and not Johnny or David. I don't mean to make fun of Creighton but he has such a weird tone, sounding kind of like the lovechild of Justin Timberlake and an alien. Not pleasant to hear.
He has a voice that needs to be on Broadway in Showboat. You know what I mean. He needs stage presence too. It wasn't a bad outing, he has a very rich voice, but he needs to connect to the song.

Hard song to sing!
Here's how it sounds when Joe Mcelderry sang it to victory--that is, without flat notes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4cxpwom53Ng
Didn't like him in the auditions and didn't like him tonight. I think the only point in the "shocking" twist was to frighten us with the prospect of the "cowboy" coming back.
For sure wouldn't sell any records outside of Idol. Just look at Reuben Studdard's career in the past 7 or 8 years...no success at all
