Japanese ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Trailer Footage Is Practically All-New (VIDEO)

The Japanese trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens is here, and it’s composed almost entirely of all-new footage! Seriously. There’s TONS of new stuff in this trailer that didn’t make it into the American cut. And a lot of it is downright awesome.

We get our first look at C3PO, the introduction between Finn (John Boyega) and Rey (Daisy Ridley), more footage of Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) having one of our heroes at his mercy, and even Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew) getting in on the action. There’s flamethrowers, explosions, and battlefield action, both in space and on the ground. If it’s possible for a trailer to get a person even more hyped for a movie, this is the trailer that’ll do it. Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens doesn’t hit theaters until December 18th (i.e., not nearly soon enough). Watch the full trailer below:
