Got Something to Add?
Unbelievable that James got voted off!!!!! What an injustice!
He so deserves to win the competition however James doesn’t
need Idol to follow his dream. He is the complete package and how he ignites the crowd is amazing. Don’t stop believing James
James was the best all around singer, entertainer, and nice guy. That is it I am done watching for the season. It is crazy something like this can happen. He brought it every week and wish him all the success with his future. I am sure we will have a James concert before and long after, the others this guy has his heart and soul in it.
Geez, why all the James hatin'? He's been the best, most consistent, best range vocalist this season. Anyone who thinks he doesn't have the "it" factor needs eyeglasses and hearing aids. James is the only one in this bunch whose CD I'd buy and whose concert I'd pay to see. Scotty is cute for the teeny bopper country music lovers, but he tends to creep me out a bit. Haley's growling is growing OLD as that's the only trick up her sleeve and poor Lauren is just lacking in the self-esteem category. Rickey, you need to quit being so closed minded and negative about this guy. He is really something special.
I want to believe, but I really want to hear Steve Perry. Sorry, this was bar band to me. I was more impressed by the band than the vocals. Should be the end of the road for James but I don't think it will be. I get the feeling (and Ryan referred to it) that they are working hard to make up for Daughtry.
Hmmm....he didn't bring anything new to the song, it's the same-o that everybody sings....however, Constantine will be leaving the Bway show soon, and James can take over.
I think he was way off as well. He was way too sharp for most of the song. Oooh Lord. That last note was WAY OFF KEY!
He sang it way better than on Glee, but no one can compare to Steve Perry's vocals. His voice was melodic. James was ok for most of it; he did better on the high notes.
Dude can rock.
Journey, Zepplin, Muse.. he can do it all ... and do it well.
Durbin in the finals for sure ... the bigger question is what rock band will he lead sing?
No bum notes there. But it's just an ordinary song. I hope this one does not ruin it for him. I want him to win.
Ears was just terrible tonight. He did no justice to this song. Thanks for ruining a classic, Jamsie.
Rickey, where do you get those characters posting on these pages?! Half of them has no idea what singing in tune means, the other half likes the sound of "pitchy".
The kid hit all the high notes spot on!
Although I hate sound production for this performance, should make adjustments for him.
Not even close to Constantine is right....James knocked it out of the park, Constantine's an EPIC foul.
Good God way to completely destroy a classic, sucked all of the soul out of the song and was completely karaoke. Steve Perry and even Arnel Pineda must be embarassed for him.
I defended Randy a little bit last week, but I think for next season's sake, he needs to be chucked overboard.
I just don't get what everyone's obsession with him is.....I enjoy his accompaniments that he ALWAYS gets (piano on fire, pyrotechnics, marching band, and chorus) more than I do him......bleh
I don't think it was pitchy at all. Just maintained the same level of loud singing the entire time - there were no levels, which would have made it more interesting had there been some.
I haven't watched much of this season, and I haven't compared Durbin or his performances to anyone or his performances from a past season, but the last 10 seconds of that performance looked and sounded EXACTLY like the group performance Season 8 did with Don't Stop Believing, particularly the last note and pose (Lambert, anyone?) IDK. Anyway, it was a bleh performance. Okay vocals, sounded a wee bit karaoke, and it's Top 4. This song should not be sung by anyone past the Top 4, period.
James kicked it, but I also agree that the judges were totally unfair to Haley (except Stephen Tyler)
James is back! I still have hope for Haley-James finale but the judges are doing bad thing for Haley to put her down!
That's somewhat what I think. I didn't hear him going sharp or "all over the place" at all, it was just like a long monotoned shrill sound... but honestly, that's what I hear from him most weeks.
Flat, off-key, cheese... so many adjectives all of them are cringe-worthy. Does he remind anybody else of a goblin (one of those green gnarled things) from the Lord of the Rings?
Nothing new. Just karaoke, and marginal at that. But it's a chick show so he'll be safe. Lauren's toast...finally. Ready for the waterworks?
What the he** Rickey, you just can't bring youself to like him! Well, I love the HE** OUT OF HIM AND HIS PERFORMANCES !!!!
