I remember Jamar from American Idol, i was mad he did not make it!! I'm so happy that he is still working towards his dream!!!!!! I am behind him all he way, how brave of him to share his history with the world!!!!!
I definitely remember him from Idol. He never mentioned anything about his drug use or HIV status on Idol, but The Voice seems a bit more "accepting" than Idol when it comes to those kinds of issues. I don't think he sounded as good as I remember, but I look forward to hearing more.
good song! but he actually sounded rough in parts, i understand why only cee lo turned the chair. but goodluck to him.
@J@M HIV and AIDS carries so much stigma you don't go blabbering about it to just about anyone. What he did was very brave. If The Voice doesn't work for him, people will be less willing to give him a job knowing his condition. And if he's been sober for six years, then that would mean it happened before Idol. Think about the possibilities! He could've been Idol's Chris Rene!
@J@M I think he mentions that he's 6 years sober. Which means he was in recovery when he was on Idol, not still using.Guess he (or the idol producers) didn't want to share this story with the public.
@J@M It may have happened before Idol, we don't know.
@laff I don't think so. His storyline on Idol was the best friend of Danny. He was even on the homecoming parade.
