A great performance -- he has consistently sung selections that go well with his voice -- so not sure if this is due to him or Nicole or the producers.

But why do they keep on going on every week about how brave and courageous he is? Enough already! Nicole's comments are just annoying.

@KevinB he was a nervous mess. I know what thats like and to get up there and sing he probably felt like he would die on the spot. but he did it anyway to help other people be brave.

@KevinB you know his brother killed himself right? he also almost killed himself. and that doesnt include all the crap his parents did

I actually didn't know that, so thanks for sharing that info. I went and googled about it for more information. But his brother killed himself in 2008, and while this is obviously horrible news, and Jahmene and the rest of his family had to endure a lot of pain, there are also plenty of other celebrities that have terrible tragedies in their life, and also have horrible stage fright (Christopher Maloney was probably the most terrified contestant I ever saw in an audition). You would think that his tragedy just happened during the competition.

This is really more about the Nicole trying to make his back-story even more tragic to buy him votes -- and he frankly doesn't need the extra sympathy. He is one of my most favorite talent competition singers ever, and the show doesn't need to keep on milking this, since he should be able to easily win on his talent alone.

@KevinB @AprilNikkiFontana you're welcome :) yes tragedies but since a young child? for so many years? I don't know of any. Yes,Christopher had awful STAGE fright but Jahmene has fright of life. I think Nicole had an easy life, not sure but she probably looks at him like wow he is strong and HE IS. Her tears arent fake.Also, we never just vote on talent.Otherwise someone else would have won American Idol lol
