um... compared to the other singers I heard (country kid, thin-voiced guy off key, drab blonde doing the uninspired fave of Simon) this guy was far superior than them. his only flaw was too much riffing in the middle, and the scream at the end, because the first powerful note was SPOT on (the thin-voiced guy trying to sing high notes and caterwauling instead was sad), and the riffing at the end was soulful, until the scream. overall B, the caterwauling guy with the tooth hanging off his ear was a C-, Unchained was a C-, and country kid who normally sounds a little better was a D+

I'm voting for Jacob only because I thought Scotty totally sucked on the Willie Nelson song.

I don't really care that Jacob has supporters on American Idol. He's terrible and I'll get my satisfaction when he releases an album and sells 3 copies.

To hit the high notes and scream is not enough to be an American Idol!

Once again, I don't know what we're hearing that the judges are not hearing or vice versa, because I did not like this song for him, and the end note where he screamed. And it's another SLOW song....so why don't they get on Jacob about the slow songs like they did Pia?

This guy gives 1000% every time when 100% would be enough.
