Jacob Lusk – Dance With My Father – American Idol Top 7 – Video MP3
Jacob Lusk sings Dance With My Father on American Idol Top 7
Rickey: One of my favorite Luther Vandross songs ever! BLACK DIVA WILL NEVER DIE!
Jacob cried in the beginning! He stopped in the beginning because there were drums in his earpiece!
Steven Tyler: Luther Lusk!
Jennifer Lopez: You have to have enough control.
Randy Jackson: Emotionally it was a great performance, but vocally it wasn’t good.
Jacob said there were drums in his ear! He wasn’t crying, LOL.

He is one of the top vocalists, even from all past seasons, he is gifted.
Please people let us be free from any bias and leasing him.
I love Jacob .His voice is amazing . He gives me the chill and makes me feel so good when he sings . My favorite !
I don't know why so many , who comments about him , hate him so much ? He is such a talent !
YOU - haterssss - obviousely don't know what you are talking about , you are probably a bunch of babies , only used to listen to that crap , that is out there now ,that people dare to call music . BUT IT IS NOT MUSIC - JUST CRAP -
JACOB is way above you !
You should all stay in the toilets , where you belong ,with your crappy music .
I found it funny how JLo gave him all this critique about trying to hold back emotions while performing. With that in mind, I figured Jacob would get a lot more votes because he seems compassionate and everyone loves to vote for that kind of stuff (i.e., look at Vonzell when she was singing a song dedicated to her father as well). However, Jacob totally took that away by saying "It was the drums in my earpiece" which totally negates any thoughts of compassion or emotion.
Then JLo tries to save her comment from earlier saying she meant it in a more general term, lmao.
im having goosebumps everytime i hear him sing. it felt like it was a perfect song for him. good job!
JACOB LUSK AL; THEY WAY. eVENTHOUGH THEY TRIED TO SCREW OVER JACOB WITH HIS EART PIECE THAT WAS GIVING HIM TROUBLE AT THE BEGINNING.
JACOB LUSK ALL THEY WAY. YOU CAN TELL BY THE WAY HE LOOKED AT THE BEGINNING OF THE SONG THAT SOMETHING WITH HIS EAR PIECE WAS WRONG. I SWEAR I THING AMERICAN IDOL IS TRYING TO GET HIM OUT. JACCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB LUSK YOU ARE MY AMERICAN IDOL. BUT BY THE WAY IT LOOKS I THINK THAT AMERICAN IDOL IS TRYING TO MAKE DURBIN OR CASEY WIN BORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRING!
I like Jacob's vulnerability & this is one of the few performances that I actually enjoyed. But we'll see..I don't know if he'll escape the B3 or not.
Meh, more of the same from Husky Lusky - overly dramatic, overly emotional nonsense. He's just too much, and it makes it feel fake to me. Bah-bye, Jacob!
Another slow song....where is the criticism? He had problems with his earpiece last week too. What's with that?
I don't think it was all that great....and what's with the diamond earrings?
It wasn´t his best performance, but he has the best voice in this competition, I like his gospel "touch". I agree with you, Edilberto.
What? WHAT!? This is one of his best performance all season (not including his hollywood/vegas stuff) and NOW he's getting criticized for his vocals? Randy Jackson, it's time for the judges table to have an eviction on your left side! idiot.
As usual was way over the top. A song like this doesn't need all that, it just makes it lose it's emotional feeling.
Aw man I was hoping he'd do "When A Woman Loves" by R. Kelly! Would have been the perfect song for him (vocally, not personally...obviously lol). Would have brought the house down
Don't like the vbibrato. His constant dragging of the notes is just overtly done and loses the emotional aspect of the song. His voice is irritating! Beautiful song, but the vocals were bad! This should send him packing home
OMG I thought he was going to stop the band from playing since he had a hard time catching up in the start.
Good thing he is not that kind of DIVA
Casey is a good impersonator
I actually agree with you. This was one of his better vocals for me (except for a couple of pitchy spots). What an odd time to start criticizing, considering he has had some horrible, horrible performances since Top 13 started.
It's not the song problem, it is him the problem.
Whatever song he sing, it will always be the same.
He always over scream the song and ruin the whole things.
Until now I still do not understand what the judges seen in him that I cannot see. He is one of the worst contestant in American Idol ever.
