‘iZombie’ Gets a First Look Preview and a Premiere Date – VIDEO

Our first look at Rob Thomas’ adaptation of the comic book iZombie has finally arrived!

It definitely has a very Veronica Mars feel to it. If Veronica were one of the undead who ate brains to help her solve mysteries.

The series is a loose adaptation of the Vertigo comic series of the same name and follows Liv (played by Rose McIver) as she works in a Seattle morgue, imbibing the brains of the deceased to take on their memories.

In the comic by Chris Roberson and Michael Allred, the main zombie Gwen works as a grave digger, lives in Oregon and has a ghost best friend.

Admitted Thomas, “In the comic, there’s a whole monster universe … and we wanted to stay strictly zombie. We really needed a story engine. We wanted a case-of-the-week show. In the comic, the character is a grave digger. By making her an assistant medical examiner and putting her in the morgue, it gave us our case of the week that we wanted.

iZombie will premiere on the CW on Tuesday, March 17 at 9PM. Supernatural will be moving to Wednesdays.
