Insane Car Review Questions If the Chevette Is Really So Bad In Retrospect (VIDEO)

Regular Car Reviews is tackling a 1976 Chevrolet Chevette, a car that was once seen as a crass knock-off of the Opel Kadett. And yet, it’s a car that has a reputation that endures, even if the car itself doesn’t. This leads to the existential question: in retrospect, was the Chevette really so bad?

This is another crazy review for Mr. Regular, who offers some insight into what made the Chevette popular, what led to its downfall, and some of the misconceptions GM put out about its horsepower rating — all while delivering odd non-sequiturs, such as a strange segment that’s straight out of some weird, French arthouse film. This is one of my favorite RCRs yet, providing a pretty solid balance of comedy and insight. It’s a lot of fun, and it’s definitely worth checking out if you’ve got a case of the Mondays. Even if you’re not into cars, you might enjoy this. You can watch the video below:
