Happy Endings – Meat The Parrots – Recap

This episode of Happy Endings was chock full of celebs. Megan Mullally returns as Penny’s mother, Michael Mckean shows up as Dave’s father, and Ed Begley Jr. appears to make this episode that much better.

Dave’s father comes to town with his new girlfriend. Dave is shocked when said girlfriend turns out to be Penny’s mother. Penny is thrilled at the idea of them dating and starts to treat Dave like a younger sibling. Didn’t really need to see her attempt to give a Dave a wedgie when he wasn’t wearing any underwear. Yikes. Dave starts to freak out when he realizes his father is changing because of his new girlfriend. He no longer eats meat or does any of the things he’s used to. Dave throws a temper tantrum and runs away to his childhood home.

Alex is lonely on the weekends when her store is empty so she decides to adopt a parrot. A racist and homophobic parrot. She becomes obsessed with watching the Chinese restaurant across the street and enlists Max and Brad to help her. They become convinced that the place is hiding an illegal sex ring and storm the place.
