Haley Reinhart has parted ways with Interscope Records and 19 Recordings reports the L.A. Times.

I feel bad. 19 really tried to promote her hard over the past few months. I guess it was just not happening for her.

Haley Reinhart, the bluesy ingenue who placed third on the 10th season of “American Idol,” has parted ways with Interscope Records and 19 Recordings, a source close to the singer confirmed to Pop & Hiss on Tuesday.

The 22-year-old’s post-“Idol” debut, “Listen Up!,” was quietly issued in late May, just as a new victor was crowned. The album debuted at No. 17 on the Billboard 200 after it logged 20,000 copies in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

I'm not worried for Haley for whatever reason. I feel like she's built momentum where it counts; with big players in the jazz world and with her core fans. I think she'll do whatever she wants. One thing was always clear from the start with her and that's that she is the queen of not giving a sh*t. I mean that in an entirely positive sense.

HALEY was trash on Season 10. I hated her.She stole PIA's spotlight and kept her from winning SEASON 10.I HATE HALEY! She was overrated on Season 10.

@QKW24 Pia, while talented, was extremely boring during her run on Idol. Haley shook things up and gave us one of the best runs a contestant has ever had. To blame Haley for Pia's elimination when Haley was still struggling to stay out of the bottom 3 is bullcrap. Get over your bias and look at the facts.

@QKW24 I disagree. Haley was actually in the bottom 3 for most of her Idol run and didn't begin to stand out until Casey was eliminated.

You are just wrong Rickey. lols Haley really didn't have that much promo and she took too dang long to release her cd. OH well another one bites the dust. They should say that America Idol produces some STARS if they are lucky and have an amazing single and support from radio and their label. She is still amazing and hopefully she will get a better label. Hey she can try out for the Voice next. :)

@ArchieSue Haley performed on American Idol this year. She was also part of the publicity tour for the American Idol Live Tour this year -- even it wasn't her batch. 19 brought her to every event they could place her in. It was just not happening.

@Rickey @ArchieSue Yes to all that. IMO 2 things hurt her: 1. releasing her album too late, 2. not going on tour. James opened with 28k and has now sold over 150k, while he opened with little like Haley (20k) his album grew some legs because he toured extensively, and now he's working on his 2nd album.

OK so she wasn't a star. Are you happy now? Just like Pia, Cook, Kris Allen and other ex-idol that have been dropped. Her single wasn't good enough so she had no chance. I know what you are saying. So idol produces a star sometimes. lols. I still love the show and I'm happy that PP and Scotty are doing well for the franchise for now.

@Rickey @ArchieSue I feel like they could have done more promotion wise. Like, why wasn't there a second single? Granted she did have a few live performances, they all should have been around the same time to promote first-week sales. This is truly a shame. Haley could have been a big star.
