‘Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’ Series Being Continued With New Author
Good news readers of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, the series will have a fourth book. Just not written by late author Stieg Larsson for obvious reasons.
The new novel is set for a 2015 publication and will be penned by David Lagercrantz. Lagercrantz was hired by the publisher, who were seeking a new book after the death of Larsson in 2004.
Even though Larsson had been working on a fourth book himself when he passed away, none of the plot points from his draft will be used for the newest book in the Millenium Trilogy.
As they explained, “Obviously it will build on the previous books. Blomqvist and Salander will be included and many of the other characters.”
A decision that Larsson’s partner Eva Gabrielsson is not too happy with. Sadly for her, she doesn’t own the rights — Larsson’s father and brother do and they approved the decision. Most likely because money.
She said of her disagreement with the “tasteless” decision, “I guess I think it’s greedy. It’s already a multimillion industry.”
