King Joffrey loves all the power and celebrity of his station on Game of Thrones. But Jack Gleeson, the actor who plays him, isn’t nearly as thrilled about the culture of celebrity.

This recently-surfaced video, filmed in late November 2013, features Gleeson speaking about his role as Joffrey Baratheon in Game of Thrones at the Oxford Union. However, the Q&A takes a peculiar turn when Gleeson goes off on his distaste for the pervasive “celebrity culture” that accompanies being a well-recognized actor in an extremely-popular TV series.
