This teaser poster for the third season of HBO’s Game of Thrones isn’t much, especially by the standard of season two’s gory, spoileriffic “The King Can Do As He Likes” promo poster. But it’s kind of chic in its minimalism. And hey, it hammers the premiere date into our heads, so I can at least see what the network was going for. Check it out below:
A Storm of Swords, half of which will serve as the basis for this forthcoming season (the book is HUGE, even by the standards of high fantasy, so it’s only natural they’d split it into two seasons), is generally regarded as the best book in the series thus far, an opinion with which I happen to agree wholeheartedly. With that said, HBO is going to have a hard time coming up with promotional material for this new season that doesn’t give anything away. It’s going to be a long road to March 31. But I can’t imagine it won’t be totally worth the wait.
