‘Farmville’ TV series in development with director Brett Ratner
TVHigh-profile film director Brett Ratner (Tower Heist, the Rush Hour series) has joined with Six Eleven Media to produce a half-hour animated series based on social networking game/procrastination aid FarmVille.
“FarmVille is one of the most exciting brands out there today and its cross-platform opportunities are endless. I am thrilled to be expanding the brand with existing fans and also engaging a whole new audience,” said Ratner in a statement. Ratner will serve as executive producer alongside Six Eleven Media’s Kirk Schenck & Charles Bishop and Independent producer Nina Gelb. No network has been attached to the project just yet.
The director’s next film, a new version of the Hercules tale with Dwayne Johnson in the title role, drops August 8, 2014.
