Twitter continues to inspire users both young and old to the summit of bad decision-making, as one J. Cole fan escalated matters to frightening levels.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, a teen going by the username “That Aint My Kid” posted a photo depicting a gun aimed at a little girl. In the tweet, the user threatens: “@JColeNC retweet me and I’ll buy Born Sinner. Don’t retweet me and I’ll kill my lil sister.”
Believe it or not, J. Cole actually responded to the tweet, writing, “wildest s— I ever seen on twitter bruh.”
Naturally, the teen not only received a flood of messages and mentions over Twitter, he also ended up having police sent to his house to investigate the threats, and to determine whether the gun was real.
“It was a BB gun. Cops came to my house and everything,” the teen posted. “If it was real I’d be in jail. Use your head.”
The user also said his mother was in the room at the time the photo was taken.
“My mom is so mad at me,” he wrote. “I gotta go into hiding for a lil while.”
The teen initially took a hostile stance against the shocked, outraged responses he received. For instance, one of his tweets declared, “Chief Keef can get away with ordering a hit but I can’t point a BB gun at my own sister? Y’all ain’t s—”. However, the teen eventually accepted responsibility for his error in judgment.
“Being an Internet Thug backfired on me. I learned my damn lesson,” he wrote. “I hope White Twitter still accepts me after all this.”
He later added: “I make terrible decisions. Don’t admire me.”
