‘Empire’ Star Taraji P. Henson Brings Cookie Lyon To ‘The Tonight Show’ (VIDEO)

We’re still one month away from the return of Empire, but the stars are already getting the word out with some hilarious appearances on the media circuit. To be more specific, Taraji P. Henson brought Cookie Lyon directly to The Tonight Show.

In this fun segment, Taraji and Jimmy Fallon play The Acting Game, an improv exercise in which they’re both given a character and a ridiculous situation. They then must take turns answering a phone and acting out that situation as that character. It’s pretty straightforward, but it’s a fun test of both actors’ skill sets. Naturally, Taraji brings the goods, delivering a terrific monologue in which Cookie Lyon learns her space mission will run six months longer than planned. This is great stuff, and well worth checking out. You can watch the full video below:
