Ella Henderson of The X Factor UK has been signed by Sony Music.
From Daily Mail:
She was undoubtedly one of the most talented contestants to come out of this year’s X Factor, despite landing only in sixth place.
But it would seem Ella Henderson will certainly have the last laugh after revealing she has signed a recording contract with Sony Music.
The 16-year-old starlet is believed to have made the announcement on The Saturday Night Show, before confirming the news via her Twitter page on Sunday.
She wrote: ‘Thank u for your kind messages! X It’s all of you who help to inspire my music!! I cannot wait for 2013.. #JustTheBeginning.’
The Grimsby-based singing sensation was at the centre of a bidding war between Simon Cowell’s Syco label and his fellow Sony imprints Columbia, Epic and RCA, who were all desperate to sign Ella on to their books.
Although it has not yet been revealed which part of the label the talented teenager has signed to, it is thought she will be releasing her debut album in 2013.
