Eliza Dushku Joins ‘Banshee’ Season 4 as FBI Agent

The cast is expanding for Banshee Season 4.

Eliza Dushku is joining the cast of the series, which centers on Lucas Hood (Antony Starr), an ex-con who serves as sheriff of Banshee, PA. Dushku will play the role of Agent Veronica Dawson, “a tough, sexy and shockingly reckless FBI profiler with no shortage of personal demons who joins forces with Hood to hunt down a killer.”

Dusku’s role will be a recurring one on the series, so expect her to stick around for a while. She joins a cast of Banshee newcomers for Season 4 that includes Chris Coy, Matthew Rauch, Ana Ayora and Casey LaBow. Dushku is an underrated actress, and although her profile has been much lower in recent years following the unfortunate cancellation of Dollhouse, she’s gotten steady work in such roles as voicing She-Hulk on Disney XD’s Hulk And The Agents Of S.M.A.S.H., so it’s not as if she’s been invisible. I’m hoping the role allows her the chance to show off some range, beyond just being hot and deadly. Either way, Banshee is one of the best shows more people ought to be watching, so I’m confident that whatever the show has in store for her will be something good. If nothing else, this should be better than that time she played a similar role on The Big Bang Theory.
