Didi Benami – You’re No Good – Video MP3 American Idol Top 11
Didi Benami sings You’re No Good on the American Idol Top 11
Rickey: I love you Didi! SAVE DIDI! 1-866-IDOLS-10
Randy Jackson: I love the idea of it. Very pitchy.
Ellen DeGeneres: It was not the right song choice for you.
Kara DioGuardi: It didn’t feel that it was you. It just left me confused.
Simon Cowell: There was … irony. You fell into the trap that Lacey Brown fell in.

Got Something to Add?
yea the judges r crazy
they said something like "you have the best vocal, best song choice of the night" when only half have performed..
Thank you Fan # 1. I was thinking of the girl who Didi reminds me of from last year and I was going to say the White girl...it's Brooke. Thanks. Why isit the judges (Randy in particular) keep mentioning pitchy and the pitch was all over the place? Pitch is when you hit the same note as the music intends it to be at whether there are musical unstruments along with the song or what. If the song calls for a C and the singer hits a D or a B then its "pitchy". That may happen a few times but ".....pitchy all over the place. Dude, it was bad for me." ???? Didi is great and has a very nice voice.
Are you people tone deaf?! Didi always goes pitchy. Don't get me wrong I think she has a very pretty voice; but not good control over it. I think when you are up at this level on the show, there's no excuse for that. And the goes for the rest of the contestants as well.
I don't know what the judges want to pull from last night's episode but, clearly somethings up. I think they're destroying didi for others popularity. They always do that! I really love didi's performance. I kinda' don't like her in that genre but she sang it very well. She is one of a kind. I'm kinda' nervous though for next week 'cause it's the soul thing again. Remember "Lean On Me"? I hope didi made the right song choice. well, It doesn't matter 'cause there's a lot of didi supporters out there... I'm still a fan. I really love didi. and I know that many have disagreed from the judges verdict. Go DIDI!
I think performance wise, that was great. With those lights perfectly matching the song.
Whenever she sings that tone, it' s very relaxing. So I think we should keep her on the show. I can't stay watching the show if she isn't there. She has the talent!
The judges were not even listening to her song! Crap. What were they thinking. Didi's performance wasn't bad at all. It may not be great, but hell it wasn't bad. I am confused. Didi you rock! Even if you don't win, I will be a fan of yours. (Missing Lilly Scott too)
Okay... haha wow Randy that wasn't "very pitchy" at all...
I don't care if they thought it wasn't the right song choice.. she still did a great job at the song. She is completely different from the other contestants and I hope they realize when they watch it over that it wasn't terrible at all.
Mmm... I'm kinda looking at the angle the judges might be pushing Didi to win. She's the last I'm counting on after Alex got booted.
(Wouldn't it be a whole lot interesting if Didi wins? To me, she's an intelligent choice. From where I come from, there are too many belters, rockers, wannabes, and guitarists. I'm tired of those, and I want something different. So I'm rooting for someone with a different approach. Then again, I don't know what America wants to listen to.)
Didi has a unique approach to the songs, but maybe for them, she kind of lacks something. Personality? Bankability? I don't know about them, though. I'd surely shell out for her album one day. Anyway, I hope she's safe this week.
The thumbs down for your posts are for the trashy, low-class attitude, the obvious lack of thought behind your posts, your intent to disrupt an intelligent conversation even before one begins, your whining about being persecuted whenever someone calls you out for being a troll, etc.
But nothing against you personally. I just don't like trolls, that's all.
AS USUAL THE JUDGES ARE FULL OF BALONEY. THREE MIGHT THINK IT'S GREAT, AND ONE DOESN'T...BIG DEAL! THAT'S REAL LIFE. THE IDEA THAT THESE SINGERS NEED A BUNCH OF DEAF IDIOTS TO TELL THEM WHAT SOUNDS GOOD IS A JOKE. ALL ANYONE NEEDS IS THEIR OWN EARS...I MEAN COME ON, LADY GAGA IS A TOP SELLING ARTIST! THAT ALONE SHOULD TELL YOU THAT PERSONAL TASTE IS ALL THAT MATTERS. HAVE YOU EVER LISTENED TO MOST OF THE "PROS" THAT PERFORM ON THE SHOW...MOST OF THEM SUCK PERFOMING LIVE. AS FAR AS DIDI, SHE'S GORGEOUS, EASY TO MARKET, SOUNDS GREAT...VERY DISTINCT VOCALS, AND I'D BUY HER MUSIC OVER CRYSTALS. IN FACT HER AND THE ROCK AND ROLL GUY HAVE THE BEST SOUND, AND ARE THE ONLY ARTISTS ON THE SHOW THIS SEASON THAT I WOULD BUY. THEY ARE ALL EXTREMELY TALENTED, AND REALLY ONLY NEED TO FIND THEIR NICHE, SO OTHERS THAT LIKE THAT TYPE OF MUSIC WILL SUPPORT THEM. IT'S EASY TO SIT THERE AND SAY THAT IS CRAP AND THIS IS NO GOOD AND TOTALLY CONFUSE SOME OF THE CONTESTANTS. REALLY, WHAT ARE THEY TO DO, WHEN THREE JUDGES LIKE THEM AND ONE DOESN'T, OR IT'S A SPLIT...WHOSE ADVICE DO YOU TAKE? PERSONALLY, I THINK THEY SHOULD IGNORE THE JUDGES AND DO WHAT FEELS NATURAL AND GOOD TO THEM...BE TRUE TO THEMSELVES AND THEY WILL FIND THEIR AUDIENCE.
I think Didi did pretty well, picked an ok song for her distinctive voice and style. No "moment" but she wasn't pitchy either. And I'm pretty sure that when it comes time to put out the actual records, she'll probably sell pretty well if she gets good material. Kara could write a lot of stuff for her.
I don't get what the judges don't like about Didi. She's a great singer and her voice is totally current. I love her!
wth is up with the judges saying it was pitchy all over the place!? are they just following a cue card or something because that performance was awesome. i don't get why they are bashing on her for being in the music. she was feeling the lyrics, and that was clear in the attitude she exuded in her body language.
didi will be safe! she's awesome.
I think that Didi is still one of the most original and interesting contestants this year. I didn't think the performance was pitchy at all. Randy says that about everybody (maybe he needs to see a doctor about his hearing). It was a great performance of a song that I don't particularly care for and she put her own spin on it.
Didi has the kind of voice I'd love to hear on the radio.
Probably 3rd best of the night. It wasn't nearly as bad as the judges bashed on her for. Then again... 3rd best isn't saying much when just about everyone is rubbish.
Randy is an idiot. This wasn't pitchy at all, stop throwing that word around and you expand your bloody vocabulary!!!
On contrary to the song title, Didi was good. Wasn't great, but it was pretty solid.
I got on line looking for a blog site to see what others thought of Didi because honestly I don't have a clue what the judges have been watching or what they want from her! They complain all night & season about cookie cutter karioke performances, and she comes out with her unique, (yes pitchy) voice and completely owns the song and moment, and they destroy her yet again! If they can't see the talent and appeal of this girl, I can't see why they're in this business. I hope America doesn't listen to the judges, because they got her all wrong! Go Didi!
Pitchy where? It wasn't that bad at all. What were they thinking? They must've gone tone-deaf... or something.
I loved this - sometimes (rarely, but sometimes) the judges hear things differently than we do and upon re-listening they change their minds. I think this might be one of those instances; but it could just be a matter of taste. There were one or two pitchy moments but overall I thought this was a great song choice that was well sung and well performed. I think she's safe and this is the first week she's really caught my eye. Eager to see what she does next week - if she's still around. ;-)
I liked it a lot and not only was it well sung but it was well *performed* too. She was very in control and carried the sultry persona of the song perfectly.
It was a bit odd but I give her credit for trying to do something different. A friend thought it was too slow. For me she was OK. I don't see her in danger. She is not as good as Crystal though.
most of the judges' comments have been off more than usual tonight... praising Aaron and Katie's PITCHY performances really? and ratting on Didi's?
Didi never looked more beautiful and confident than tonight. She was on key the whole time. very soulful performance. Solid and hot! We are Didi fans but we know bad when it's bad and call it good when it is. Tonight was good!!
Please vote for Didi: 1-866-436-5710. Thank you.
Megan Joy = Didi = Megan Joy. That arrangement was off, she was pitchy. And Simon was spot on. She's trying to be Lacey.
These Idols have retreaded songs to sing. And they're trying to re-arrange it so that it sounds fresh&new.
Her performance was better.....but she is turning into Lacey like Simon said.
I thought the judges were a little too harsh with her. I didn't think it was that pitchy. Didi just doesn't have a big voice. I think she is a better version of Brooke White.
what's wrong with the judges??? it wasn't that pitchy, it was just how she sings. that's didi's style. it was laid back with a unique twist (she kinda sounds like megan from season 8) i liked it! america please vote for didi!
sounds jazz-y to me. I think that's why kara said it wasn't "her". while i love her voice, she's not for jazz.
I think the judges were too hard on Didi. I appreciate the fact that her voice is immediately recognizable, quirks and all. I also felt the connection to the song and to the audience much more so than some of the other contestants (I'm talking to you, Casey).
